Today is Sage's 17th birthday. It seems like yesterday that she was a baby. Where did the time go? We are going to meet Sage and Aaron at the Cotton Patch in Plainview. Troy, Deanna, Courtney, and Clay are to be there also. We are bringing Ma with us.
Happy Birthday Sagealena.

Dog Fight
Sage, Tyler, and I had to contend with a terrible dog fight between Stella and Roxie. They both have a litter of puppies. It was awful. We could not get them apart. Sage went and got Gramps. Gramps shot in the air and got Stella on a chain. Sage, Tyler, and I were red faced and exhausted. It was a terrible dog fight. This was an experience that we do not want to repeat.

Clarendon Leadership Camp
Well, I got back from camp yesterday. How did it go? It sucked! I am never going back again. NEVER EVER EVER!
DAY ONE:
4 Workshops ( that were not fun at all. I already knew all the things they attempted to teach us.)
Then we decorated our flag and came up with a team name. We came up with the " Fighting Stripers". AKA- the "Fighting Strippers". It's a funny story about how the Fighting Strippers name came into place. We were decorating our flag and the kid spelling the " Fighting Stripers" spelt it "Fighting Stripprs. Then he marked out the extra p, put a ^ and an e above it. So we then became known as the " Fighting Strippers". Then we came up with a skit, which was pretty boring. Then, later, we went to the dance. Rance and I didn't dance, we suck to bad to do it in public, so when we returned home, we danced in the country, where no one but ourselves could laugh at us.
DAY TWO:
We got up at 6:30. I took a shower, got ready, went to breakfast, and then to the flag ceremony. Then we went to 7 workshops. Then we had " AG FEST". We had to pass a real cow tongue with our feet. We went down a big slip adn slide down a big hill that shaving cream and baby oil on it and a big mud hole at the end. We got VERY muddy. Then we cleaned up and went to the banquet. The Ag teachers cooked us steaks and roasted potatoes. Very yummy. When the man asked If I would like half a steak like he asked all the other girls, I replied, " I want a whole one , I'm hungry". Then Cassie asked if I was eating the whole thing, and she got a half. And, as usual, I ate my whole steak. Then we went to the dance. We didn't dance then either.
DAY THREE:
I was so exited to go home. We performed it. It sucked. Then we watched our camp video. Rance and I were on it holding hands and what can I day, we were so cute. Then we came home.
Overall, camp sucked, and I learned one lesson. Never listen to Cassie when she says it's going to be fun.
News from the farm.
Hello Family: Good morning. It is going to be a hot one. Gramps got an early start. He is in town running errands, mainly getting a flat fixed for Sage's tractor. David and Caren spent the night last night, and they have already left for Wilson, Caren has roofs to do today. Tyler is up, but Courtney, Clay, Jessie, and Robyn are still asleep. We miss our Bridgy and Reese. We haven't seen much of Reagan this summer. Maybe we will next month.
We had grocery store pizza at Ma's last night for her birthday. She was so excited because Amanda, Dorothy, and Suzanne had called to wish her a Happy Birthday. Ma was happy that Sage, Deanna, Courtney, Clay, David, Caren, and Tyler were there for supper.
Well, I better go. The kids are ready for breakfast. I have a roast in the pressure cooker for lunch. Maybe there will be some leftover for supper.

We're Home
Hello Family: We're home and we're glad. Miss Bridgy was waiting for us. We were so excited to see her. She was hugging and crying. Of course, when she hugged me I cried too.
Bridgy fed the dogs, I watered the yard, Tyler shot his BB gun, David was in and out, Caren was catching up with her calls, and Gramps got on the tractor.
Reese called and chatted. I was so glad to hear from him. He is coming out between the 20th and 24th.
The court at McKinney went okay, but they have to go back 07-31-09; then the judge will decide.

Activites at Watson Farms
Hello Family: We were busy on Watson Farms today. Gramps and I went to town and picked up Gloria. When we got home Gramps planted cotton, and Courtney and I went to Aiken to do my work for IBM. Sage and Aaron got here at eight and they were ready to work. Caren went to work, and David was at the house. He was hurting today. I fixed hamburgers for lunch and they were very tastey. I picked Gramps up twice at the grass farm. Deanna came and got Courtney and they went to Lubbock so Courtney could go to the counselor. Sage and Aaron took Gloria home. Aaron made Sage come back to the farm because he hadn't finished his project and he was going to be gone tomorrow. Sage said his OCD kicked in. They are lots of fun. Aaron is so excited, he gets to one way next week. I watered in the yard until dark. Caren went to Scotty and Cherisse's to help Cherisse with a job search. Gramps just got in at nine. David took him to get his pickup, and then he will have supper. It's thundering. I sure hope it rains. It is suppose to tomorrow. I forgot to mention that Troy and Deanna's anniversary was yesterday, fourteen years.

Lots of activity on the farm.
Hello Family: It was a very busy day on Watson Farms. Sage and Aaron came to work at eight. They were very motivated. I had to suggest to Sage to pace herself. She said that she would try, but they were both so excited to have a job. They are both real refreshing. They got a lot done, and they are excited about coming back tomorrow. I cooked them a big lunch. I took a short nap about 2:30. Jessie didn't come to help me, but I was glad. Gloria comes tomorrow. David's therapy is not working. I don't know what they will do next. Deanna brought Courtney out. Gramps. Courtney, David, Caren,Dorothy, Sharon, Sherry, Kris, Flur, Owen, and I ate supper at Ma's tonight. Gramps planted cotton again today.

My Tuesday
Hello Family: Gramps took Ma for her doctor's appointment this morning. He also helped her change her long distance carrier. Now Ma can call anywhere, anytime for free. So everybody get ready to hear from her. She has called Gramps seven times today, even after he spent all morning with her.
Gramps and I went to Plainview to get a part repaired, and then we went to Crosbyton to pick up my medicine.
David has therapy in the morning. They went to the lawyer today. Tyler is old enough to decide where he wants to live. and of course he wants to live here.
Sage and Aaron are coming to work in the morning at eight. I sure hope they know what they are getting into.
We only got two tenths of rain here last night. I watered in the yard for an hour, and Gramps sat and visited with me. He is so sweet. I wish he wasn't so overworked.
We had supper earlier. I fixed lemon pepper chicken, potatoes, broccli and cheese, and corn. David fixed a hamburger and noodle dish. I am going to fix Sage and Aaron something good for lunch.
