39th anniversary

Hello Family: Today is our anniversary. I married my best friend on this date so many years ago. We have been so happy. We have been blessed with three wonderful kids, three very tolerant other kids, and nine grandkids. We have learned how to use the computer, text, buy stock, and maybe how to grow tomatoes. No, really, we have shared a lot together, and we are content. My wish is for all of my children to be as happy and in love as Gramps and I are.

Friday

Hello Family: It was a good day. Gramps planted cotton. David and Caren went to Lubbock, so David could go to therapy. Clay stayed with me. The Sears repairman came to fix my washer, which is only 6 months old. It needs a new timer, and of course they had to order it. We can still use it, thank goodness. Gramps and I went to Croton to water the cows. It had rained, so we won't have to haul water for awhile. Deanna came to pick up Clay. Caren took Courtney to town to hang out with Rance Seymour. I watered in the yard again. The yard sure is getting green. We had poor boys for supper, and we are just watching TV.

Saturday recap

Hello Family: I hope everyone had a good day. Gramps and I were very pleased to have Sage and Clay here. They finished their 550 pieces puzzle.

Gramps went to the Lakeview cemetery for Dee Adams funeral. Gramps was impressed that everyone was so nice to him.

Gramps and I went to town to the grocery store and to Ace. Gramps couldn't believe that 3 average size terra cotta pots and 4 saucers cost $40.00. When we got back from town David, Caren, and Tyler had came in. Deanna and Courtney came out. Courtney had a real good time at the area FFA convention. Ma hit an all time record today, 10 calls to Gramps. Sage stopped by and saw Ma on her way home. We had a good supper tonight, ribs, mac-n-cheese, an awesome salad (2 kinds of lettuce, mushrooms, bell peppers, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, avacodas. onion, and shredded cheese). I got the kitchen back in order. Gramps said that he will probably invite Ma out for lunch. Clay, Tyler, and David are outside building a fire in my fire ring that David built me for Christmas. I don't believe that I'll go out there since it's cold. It was real hot last night. Only in West Texas .

Wildflowers

This picture was taken when the kids went to Roaring Springs last week.

Loretta

This is Loretta. Her momma died, so Gramps had to bottle feed her. She thinks that she is a goat, since she has been running with the milk goats.

BB's birthday tree

The tree was planted eight years ago by Gramps.

Busy, busy,busy

Hello Family: I hope all of you are surviving this 100 plus degree weather. Whew, it's HOT.

It has been busy. Gramps went to town early to leave a part to be fixed and then on to the cemetery farm to plow. I was in town at eight to pickup Gloria. I then went to town at eleven thirty to do my IBM job. I got the letters mailed and called in. I had to pick Courtney up for lunch and take her cowboy boots to her. Dean brought the tractor home from the grass farm, and I met him at the ole farm house with DQ chicken salads for lunch. Then we went home and I watered in the yard while he watered the tomatoes. He went to the field and I watered some more. Then I took Gloria to the DQ where she could get supper and then I took her home. Jessie came at four thirty to help me. This is her second Wednesday to help me. Dean is cutting down alfafa. Don and Stephanie are going to help Gramps plant tomatoes whenever Robyn gets out of tumbling. I may have to baby sit, recon? I haven't had a nap yet, so I'll probably be ready for bed early.

By the way, yall have a new cousin. Suzanne had a baby girl, Ashley Rea, after lunch. Ashley weighed seven pounds eleven ounces. Both mom and baby are doing good.

Love to all of you.

Our day started out early. Gramps and I went to Croton to water the cows. Then we went to Floydada and ate at DQ. We ran errands and then went home. We ordered some more watermelon, canalope, and cucumber seeds. I tidied up the kitchen and Gramps piddled at the barn. I've got supper cooked, but I'm waiting on Gramps to come in.

Bridgy Pooh

Wow! I have a beautiful grandaughter. Bridgette's prom pictures are awesome. I hope she has a good time. I wish I could give her a big hug.

He's back

Tyler flew in last night at 8:30. The boys and I stayed up late watching TV and being on the computers. Reese, being his mother's child, started the question game. We liked the "what is your pet peeve?". Gramps woke up from napping in his chair long enough to put in his two cents. We all agreeded on the number one pet peeve, messing with our stuff. What is your number one pet peeve?

Hello Family: I hope everyone had a good Friday. I had three sweet grandkids here. They spent the night with us last night. We really enjoyed Sage, Reese. and Reagan. After lunch the kids went swimming at Roaring Springs with Lee. Reese is going to spend the night with us tonight. He is my boy, Reagan brought me a mud heart like the one she made for her mother. I was real proud of it. I received cards in the mail today from Amanda and Bridgette. Amanda's card was sweet and Bridgette's card was very cute. I really appreciated their thoughtfulness. I have also been enjoying the iris and day lillies that Amanda and family sent me.

My Saturday

Dear Family. I sure hope everyone had a good Saturday. The weather was cool and misting. The day started early with a good ole country breakfast. I got Dean to take it slow today. We loaded up and went to Paducah and looked at about 25 registered brangus bulls. After about an hour of looking them over, Gramps found one he liked. He will go back tomorrow afternoon and pick it up. We went to Floydada after our bull trip and got movies, stuff at the dollar store, and fuel. The guys cooked fried chicken since Clay was coming out. Deanna brought Clay and Court out. She will come pick Court up later tonight. Court has been having bad nights. She went to school Friday and took her TAKS test, and she over did it. Sage and I just finished texting. They are coming out tomorrow after church. I am looking forward to seeing those kids.
