A spring day...

Hello Family: I got up early and took Gramps to town to take the pickup to the body shop to have the back glass put in. Then, we went by Ma's and got her medicine order straightened out. We got Rosa's burritoes (which we haven't had in a very long time) for brunch. Gramps worked on the lake pump. He's almost got it ready to fire up. Amanda called. It is always good to talk to her. My leg hurt today, so I had a nap. Then we picked Courtney up at 4:30 because she had dairy practice. Then we got the pickup. I got a birthday present from Susie Laster in the mail today. It was a nice surprise. Courtney checked the computer for a virsus. Since tomorrow is the first, there is a virus scare. Also, don't eat pistachio nuts. Sorry, I'm a news junkie. We had spagaetti for supper. We have been using egg noodles, and we like them better. Just talked to David. We are sure worried about his situation. We are now watching TV. Love to all...

Our kids, children not goats

Gramps and I are extremely happy. Deanna and Courtney came out. Amanda and Bridgette called us. David called us. We heard from all three of our children. Even thouth they are all adults, they are still our babies. We love them all dearly.

Gramps and I went to Croton to haul water to the cows this morning. It always takes half a day to do this. Gramps worked on his lake pump later. Not much else happening here except the wind was really wild today.

The Weekend Is Over

Hello Family: Hope everyone had a good day. Our day started out early. Ma arrived at 10:00. Caren and David went to the store for us before they came out. Sage and Aaron arrived at 12:30 right on time for lunch. Gramps and I fixed a nice array of mexican food. Ma ate really good. David, Caren, and Tyler left to take Tyler to catch his flight. Ma left about two and Sage and Aaron left shortly there after. Nathan and his friend ,Bennie came at five. Nathan brought his chain saw and cut down my bush by the front porch. Bennie dug postholes for shelter belt trees. Courtney left with them at seven and got home on time at ten. A busy day. I love seeing my babies.

Saturday

Hello loved ones: I hope your Saturday was good.

I got up early,even before Gramps. I had a very productive day. We cleaned. I had a nap late afternoon, and Courtney and Gramps entertained Don and Robyn Pickel for two hours. We had supper at Ma's. David, Caren, and Tyler were there. David and Caren are spending the night with Ma and Courtney and Tyler are spending the night with us.

Courtney texted Sage about lunch here tomorrow, and Sage said she would be here. We don't know who else is coming with her. We plan on planting trees tomorrow.

A mexican at the grocery store told Gramps how to make rice. We will try it tomorrow. Gramps has been wanting to know how to make good spanish rice for a long time. We hope it works.

It Snowed

Hello Family: I hope all of you are keeping warm, because it sure has been cold.

Gramps and I took Courtney to school and then we went to Wilson. We ate breakfast at Slaton. The girls really love McDonald's. We saw David for a minute and then turned around and came home. My leg hurt all the way home, so I had a nap whenever I got home. Gramps went to see Ma and then he got Courtney. We like her staying here.

We are fixing to watch Fireproof. Courtney says it is real good. Gramps wants to see Grand Trino.

Tyler, Caren, and David are coming tomorrow. Ma wants them to stay with her.

I hope Reese, Reagan, Sage, Aaron, and Clay come see us this week end. We are anxious to see them.

Hello Family: Hope everyone is happy. It was a very warm day today, but it may snow tomorrow; only in West Texas.

Everyone, please call Ma. She is having a very hard time adjusting and she is taking it out on Gramps.

Gramps and I went to Wilson today to haul hay. We will go again early in the morning. We stopped in Slaton where Sally,Sugarbaby, and Sophia could have breakfast at McDonald's. David had to go to the Worker's Comp doctor today. He has three messed up discs. They gave him medicine to help him sleep and he has to go back in two weeks. This is going to be a long ordeal. Caren is taking real good care of him.

Deanna and Courtney came out and Courtney is spending the night.

Tomorrow is Friday. I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend.

Not much is happening here at Watson Farms. Gramps has been working at the Wilkes place today.

We are going to David's early in the morning to haul a load of hay home. I hope I can ride that long.

Tuesday

Hello Family: I hope everyone did something nice for someone today, if not do it tomorrow. Gramps wants me to remind everyone to do this.

David had the dye test done yesterday. No blood clots. He had a MRI today. Two ruptured discs. He goes to a specialist Thursday. They are filling out Worker's Comp papers. He is in a whole lot of pain. Speaking of pain. I am still hurting very bad. This has been worse than usual. Gramps says he needs to get one of those handicap vans to haul me, David, Deanna, and Ma around in.

Courtney is spending the night with us tonight. She is a joy.

David had some good news. Our landlord at Croton called and said that the hunters gave one of their campers to David. David and Caren had just bought a camper from Scotty, but they are still proud of the free one.

Gramps has tomatoes everywhere. Next year we are going to have a greenhouse.

Amanda and children, thank you a whole bunch for the Missouri shot glass. I am real proud of it. You did a great job Reagan. Gramps got my other display case up.

Today was ok...better than usual. After school, i stayed for dairy foods with jc chapel and teddy summers who are um cough...sort of on the dorky side...ok compleletly totally on the geeky side of the fence, but it's refreshing sometimes to act like a total retard and not be made fun of and laugh til your stomach hurts. we tasted milks today. malty milk- he soaks it in grape nuts flakes then strains it. oxidized 1- lets pennies sit in it. oxidized 2- lets it sit in the sun. flat- he adds water. feed- he puts molasses in it. salty- adds alot! of salt to it. interesting huh? then we tasted artificial and real whipped cream. we kind of got carried away with the whipped cream lol..squirting it into our spoons etc. i actually had quite fun. my first contest is on friday. we leave at 9:30 in the morning so i get to miss school! it's at WT. CANYON! Then on Saturday, i have a contest at Clarendon and we have to leave the school at 5 AM! [ ewww ] so that means i have to get up at 3:45 AM!!!! i think i might enjoy it lol. anyways, i am vvery tired and UIL is on thursay at floydada. LATER ALLIGATOR!

The week end is over.

Hello Family: I hope all of you had a good week end. Here on Watson Farms everyone was under the weather. David had a pinched nerve and been to Dr, Hale, Caren has sinus problems, and I think I have a blood clot again. Dean was real worried about me because he hadn't seen me feel this bad in a long long time. We went ahead with Courtney's birthday supper. We had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy. blackeyed peas, mac-n-cheese, salad, hot rolls, tea, peach cobbler and ice cream. It was very tastey. Gramps picked the birthday girl some flowers out of the yard for a bouquet. Ma, Troy, Clay, (Deanna stayed home throwing up), Sage, Aaron, David, Caren, Tyler, Gramps, Courtney and I were here. David, Caren, Tyler, and Courtney spent the night. Courtney was 15 today. I was there when she was born. Bridgette, Reese. Reagan, and Chad called her. She was very happy. Gramps took her home in the afternoon, then Nathan and Courtney came out to pick up two old chairs for Nathan. Everyone was very tired, but they did get the water going at the old farmhouse. Hello Family:

Gramps and I went to Croton early to take the hunter's the key. Then Gramps had to run to town and help Ma.

After lunch. Gramps,Courtney, and I went to Lubbock. Deanna, Troy, and Clay followed us, and we met David, Caren, and Tyler. We went to get the goats. We arrive at a 400 thousand dollar home in a residential area. She kept her goats in a hugh back yard. She had goat houses on the tennis court. She also had a swimming pool(inground). Gramps had a good time. We got 8 mamas and 16 kids. Everyone except Deanna, Troy, and Clay went to Applebee's and ate. Deanna's group went and got a beagle at Wolforth.

Overnight guests are Courtney, David, Caren, and Tyler.

HELLO FAMILY: Not much happening at Watson Farms today.

Clay, Tyler, Gramps,and I went to Croton yesterday to haul water to the cows. We had BBQ in Dickens, and then went to the cemetery in Crosbyton and measured all of the relatives head stones to pacify MA; but Gramps had to take Ma back to the cemetery to measure the head stones again. They went to the funeral home in Ralls and confirmed the first head stone that they had picked out last week. A lot of wasted motion to come up the same thing.

We had a lot of company yesterday. Ma, Deanna, Courtney, Clay, David, Caren, and Tyler. Reese, Amanda, and Sage called. It's good to see and hear from our family.

Gramps and I went to Plainview this morning. We had breakfast at McDonald's. Sugarbaby and Sophia really enjoyed it. After we ran all of our errands in Plainview and Floydada we went home. Gramps plowed and I took a nap from 12-6. I feel like I'm coming down with the flu. I sure hope not. Courtney surprised me, and cleaned the den and living room while I slept. She is so sweet and helpful.

Gramps and I will be going to Croton in the morning to leave the key for the hunters. We will let Courtney sleep in. Later, we are planning on going to get goats.

Saturday night we will have birthday supper here for Courtney abd Tyler. Ma, Aaron, and Sage are planning on coming also.

Not much going on today...

today has been pretty quiet. bb and gramps went to plainview early this morning and then they came back. i slept late, til 11. after i woke up at 5 lol. then, i cleaned some and ate lunch and took a bath and did my hair and makeup. nathan might be coming tonight, if he doesn't get off too late, which hopefully he won't. only 3 days til my birthday! i am exited. 15!!! yay! i cannot wait. saturday we will be having supper at bbs and gramps' and thensunday i will spend some time with nathan. i am very exited as birthdays only come once a year lol. well, i will go.

Tuesday

Hello family. What a beautiful day.

Gramps, Clay, and Tyler were busy today. They went and picked up a spot sprayer that Gramps had bought at a farm sale. They stopped at the farm store and picked up dog food and potting soil. They planted red potatoes, white potatoes, purple onions, white onions, and yellow onions out in the field. They started the wells and watered them and the ground where the tomatoes will be planted. Then they planted 10 shelter belt trees down at the old farm house.They were tired.

I talked to Caren, Rotha and Luis, and Sage today. They are all very sweet.

We are going to Croton early in the morning to water the cows. Thursday we are going to Plainview to get farm supplies, and Friday to Lubbock to buy milk goats. Sunday is Courtney's 15th birthday. I think she is having a cookout at Roaring Springs.

Hi there. Gramps has been real busy on the farm. He fixed fences; then turned the cows out. He worked on the lake pump, fed the critters, and made a millon steps.

I washed dishes and did laundry. We got the living room closet cleaned out and we washed all of Gramps's coats and put them in the closet. Gramps and I cooked a good supper. We had chicken strips, corn, salad, and gravy. Clay was here for supper. Deanna had came out earlier and picked up Courtney and left Clay. David and Caren brought Tyler out to stay a couple of days.

I hope evveryone is having a good spring break.

HI THERE.... I hope everyone had a good week end. Gramps planted some more tomatoes. Toal to date is 950. About 500 are up and doing good. He is going to plant a lot more. I hope you kids are ready for this.

We went and looked at Clay's new show steers. He has a Hereford (which Gramps gives him a hard time about) and an Angus. We had to see his mamma pig. She had 12 babies. Of course, I looked at everything from the front seat of the pickup. Courtney came home with us. Clay has to go to the ear,nose,and throat doctor in the morning.

Tyler and Clay are coming to the farm Tuesday and Wednesday.Gramps is going to get them to plant the potatoes and onions out in the field.

I enjoyed all of Amanda's photos on the blog. The kids are sure cute. We sure do miss them. Gramps and I can hardly wait till they come home, and then Amanda and Bridgette come for Easter.

Hello Family: Today is Tyler's 13th birthday. His birthday plans included going to the Science Spectrum and eating at the Golden Corral. Gramps and I were invited to help him celebrate, but we declined because this wet weather makes my legs hurt really bad. We will have a party for him whenever he comes to Watson Farms. Happy Birthday, Tyler.

Speaking of birthdays, this was Bradley Dewayne Fulton's birthday. He would have been 45. We still miss him.

Everyone needs to read Amanda's blog. It made me cry twice this week. She has a way with words.

Troy and Deanna came and picked Courtney and Clay up. The kids spent the night with us last night. Clay is so talented. I always have him put stuff together. Courtney is always helpful. They are such a joy.

Sage, Reese, and Reagan arrived in MO. safetly. Gramps,Ma,and Sherry saw them last night, but I stayed in. We miss them already. I know they will have fun. Amanda has been counting down the hours till they arrived.

Not much happening here. I worked in the office, and Gramps fed all the critters.

Dear Family:

I probably should not blog since I'm in a pissy mood. I have been pissy all day. I felt bad all day yesterday. I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not. First thing, one of the sellers on ebay said that he didn't get paid. I finally got thaat resolved. Next.I ordered a movie from Direct TV via the internet. When the time came to watch the movie. it said channel unavailable. So, I call and they gave me credit. Then later today, I tried another movie. At 8:00 I had, a blank screen on that channel,so I called again. Now we are jusst watching regular TV. I've had to apologize to Gramps several times today. He was real sweet, and said that I was just being a little short. Isn't he sweet? Maybe tomorrow will be a good day.

Courtney is here tonight and she is so sweet, maybe it will rub off on me.

a winter bleak day

today has just been a blah day. perhaps its the cold weather or the cloudy sky. i am so ready for spring break!!!!!!!!!!! i cannot wait. only 2 more days!

Hello:

Gramps took Courtney to school, then we went to Croton to haul water to the cows. I took a nap after we got home and then picked Courtney up at school while Gramps was with the guys putting a tractor tire on, After I got back with Courtney, Gramps and I hauled 6 head to the sale barn. Courtney fixed us grilled cheese and ham sandwiches for supper (very tastey). Gramps and Courtney planted some tomatoes. Courtney did her homework and Gramps and I watched TV. Not much happening here, as you can see.

It was a very windy day here on the farm. We have a chance of rain on Friday.

We talked to David on the phone; Deanna and Courtney came out; Couratney stayed, and Amanda called. Ma also came out. We love it when we hear from our kids.........

Dean went to a farm sale,but left early because it was going so slow. He came home and worked. Jerry picked him up a spot sprayer. He was pleased. This way the kids will not have to hoe the tomatoes.

Weekend

Hello Family: Hope all of you had a good weekend.

Friday night Courtney spent the night with us.

Saturday Courtney and I cleaned house. Courtney is our new housekeeper. Before she started, Gramps made her promise that she wouldn't steal his underwear. Sage came in the afternoon after she had been to Dickens. I made her stew. Nathan came and picked up Courtney. Sage watched a movie with Gramps. (No Country For Old Men.) I don't think she much liked it, but she watched it because Gramps asked her.

We had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans for lunch. Sage, Courtney, and Nathan were here for Sunday dinner. After we ate Nathan and Courtney went to his house, and Sage and Gramps planted 500 tomatoe pots. Sage went home about six. Gramps and I took all of this year's Christmas decorations to a storage unit in Floydada, It is my goal to have all of the decorations in one place instead of three. Gramps and I had leftovers, and later he went to change water. He is going to a farm sale at Lockney tomorrow. Gene and Kenneth Bloys are selling their equipment. We are sitting in our chairs watching TV like two old people. Courtney is suppose to spend the night, and Gramps will take her to school in the morning.

Succesful Saturay

Today, BB, Gramps, and I have been VERY succesful! We have made a dent in the Living Room. We have just been busy bees today. I helped Gramps move. Later I will hang out with Nathan. Yay! Fun fun. We had hamburger for lunch. That's about all I know for now!

Hello Family....

Not a whole lot going on here. Gramps and I went to Floydada and ran errands (dollar store, post ofice, grocery store, Allsups, and Davis Farm Supply). We were gone most of the morning.

David came and sowed oats. Then after lunch he and Gramps went to Lockney and looked at some equipment that will be in a farm sale next week. Then David went to Pickels to meet Don and Matt Woollsey. They are entered in a hunting contest that is over Sunday morning.

Deanna came out and brought Courtney. She and her 5 small dogs visited for a while. She seemed to be doing good. Copurtney called Chad last night and visited with him. Chad called Deanna today to see if it was okay to talk to Courtney, then Chad called Courtney and had a good visit. I think that it's nice. Courtney needed this.

I didn't do much this aternoon except tidy up the house. I'm tired (no afternoon nap) so I'll sign off and go to bed early.

Finally Friday!!!

Well, I am very ecstatic that today is Friday! I've been looking forwards to it all week. Yestersay was Grandma Cooper's funeral and Nathan came and afterwards we went and ate and then went to kidsville and then we went home. I should get to see him either tomorrow or Sunday. Well, Later Alligator!

Thursday

Amanda called. David called. and Deanna called. We love to hear from all of our kids. It makes us very happy.

Can you believe it? Gramps had a nap today, in the day time. Unheard of.

Ma is going to Tyler with Dorothy and Sharon in the morning. Dean thinks Ma wants to go,but also, doesn't want to go either.

It was 91 degrees yesterday and today the wind is blowing hard. West Texas. I reckon.

I just finished watching Survivor. It is not as good as it used to be,but I still watch it.


Tomorrow is Friday, then the weekend. Yea. Saage,Reese. and Reagan will come out.

I just got off the phone with Amanda. I love it whenever she calls to visit. We had a good chat, but it makes me miss her and Bridgette even more. She is very excited that Sage, Reese. and Reagan are going to visit her during spring break. We may get to see Amanda and family Easter. Gramps and I went to the Wylie store in Lubbock and bought a 1600 gallon water tank for the old farm house. Sally got breakfast at McDonald's. It was a good trip.

Gramps and I went to Mrs. Cooper's visitation. It went well. We asked Ma to go with us. but she didn't want to. ( I think it was to soon for her.) Courtney came home with us. Gramps will take her to school in the morning. Our shelter belt trees will be in tomorrow morning. Gramps and I won't go to the funeral tomorrow because I used my legs to much already this week. Ma may go to Tyler with Dorothy and Sharon this weekend. I think it will do her good.

Troy's Grandma Cooper died this morning. She was 93. I think the funeral will be Thursday. Mrs. Cooper was a nice little lady.

Monday

Hello Family: Hope all of you are doing good.

There's not much happening at Watson Farms. Gramps had a lot of trouble with his tractor today. He had to replace a hydrolic line. He had trouble taking the hose off and then Richard took 45 minutes at Caprock's. He got it fixed so he's doing good. I just piddled in the kitchen,

Deanna called me at noon. The Sheriff was at Mother's. Deanna drove by again and his vehicle was gone. We wondered why the Sheriff was there instead of Gooch. With her you can never tell.

We heard from all three of our kids today. We like that. We also talked to Rotha and Ma several times.

Family

David and Caren came out Saturday afternoon. Caren had a dodgeball tournament. Her team came in 5th out of 38 teams. She was tired and sore.

Troy, Deanna, and Clay came out and brought us supper from Dairy Queen (Bridgette's favorite place). Clay spent the night. Everyone went to bed early except me.

Gramps cooked his big breasfast this morning. The guys went to the barn and worked on the forms for the slab where the new watertank will be. Gramps helped me fix porkchops for lunch. Ma came out. After lunch the guys went to pour concrete for the slab, Caren kiltzed the bedroom, and Ma cleaned out the fridge. Sage, Reese, Reagan, and Aaron came out. After they ate they went down there. Reese helped dig up the waterline. Deanna called and said that Clay needed to meet them at the emergency room in Lockney cause Grandma Cooper wasn't doing very good. Sage and Aaron took Clay to Lockney. The kids fed the calf. This was Aaron's 1st rodeo. Deanna,Troy, Courtney,and Clay came out to get Courtney's stuff. Busy weekend.

Today Luis is 60. Boy, he is getting old. I talked to him yesterday. He called to thank me. I sure do love him.

I love all the activity when the grandkids come out. It makes Gramps and I very happy.
